This series began in 2021 and currently spans thirty individual pieces.

One of the primary attributes of my work is a quality of investigation and inquiry. I’m interested in exploring and trying to understand the fundamental nature of things. This manifests itself in an exploration of the macro, messo, and micro levels of nature. For example, on the micro level, I am intrigued by ideas presented in Quantum Theory, leading me to speculate on how emergent forms and structures arise from a chaotic Planck length foam. Furthermore, somehow, one needs to be able to reconcile how those emergent structures gain ever greater levels of complexity, eventually giving rise to organisms (messo level), consciousness, awareness, and even a sense of self. Eventually, as one zooms out further and further to examine the cosmos, one discovers parallel structures to those found on the messo and micro levels!

I’m not presumptuous enough to think that I have found any answers, but these questions have given rise to many artistic attempts to reconcile the emergence of form and the emergence of consciousness from brute nature.
